Hosted Changelog Page

In addition to the embeddable NanoLog widget, every project automatically gets a dedicated, SEO-optimized Hosted Changelog Page. This is a public-facing URL where your users can view the entire history of your product updates in a beautiful, full-page layout without needing to open the in-app widget.

Why use the Hosted Changelog?

While the widget is fantastic for catching users' attention while they are actively using your application, a hosted changelog provides several distinct advantages:

  1. SEO Benefits: Search engines can index your release notes, helping potential customers discover your product's active development cycle.
  2. Easy Sharing: You get a static URL (e.g., nanolog.com/changelog/your-app-id) that you can link to in marketing emails, newsletters, or social media announcements.
  3. Immersive Reading: For larger feature updates or lengthy release notes, a full-page reading experience is significantly better than a small popover widget.

Accessing Your Changelog

You can easily find the link to your public changelog directly from your NanoLog Dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the Projects or Widget settings page.
  2. Look for the "Public Changelog URL" section.
  3. You can copy this link and add it to your website's main footer or navigation menu.

Customizing the Look

Your hosted changelog inherits the same Custom Branding and Whitelabeling rules you set up for your widget. If you configure a Custom Header Logo and brand colors, those will automatically apply to the public page as well, ensuring a consistent brand experience for your users.
